Kara
5:43:38

Jason
5:43:56
Not sure, but either Texas or Mexico.
5:44:02
“Texas” is a nationality, right?
Kara
5:44:06

5:44:31

5:44:36

Jason
5:44:36
Thank you!
5:44:39
Ah.
5:44:46
Coriander, and I think the piggies ate the last of it yesterday.
5:44:47
I’ll check.
Kara
5:44:57
hahahaha
5:45:02

5:45:08

5:45:41

Jason
5:46:02
Yes they did, and yes I do.
Kara
5:46:16

5:46:18

Jason
5:46:25
There are, yes.
Kara
5:46:38

Jason
5:46:41

Jason
5:47:04

5:47:24

Kara
5:47:35

Jason
5:47:38
400g each, which is about a pound, however many ounces that is.
5:47:40
LOTS!
Kara
5:47:43
kk
5:47:48
chop up 3 onions
Jason
5:47:49
Well … for two people, but leftovers would be nice.
Kara

Jason
5:47:54
chops
5:48:00
Too late!
5:48:02

Kara
5:48:03
also, some carrots and celery and a garlic
Jason
5:48:06
yup
Kara
5:48:06
hahaha
5:48:35
put those all in your skillet with little bit oil. when onions go clear,
add two cans beans, drained
Jason
5:48:42
:-)
Kara
5:48:46
and a couple of cups of stock
Jason
5:48:48
yup
Kara
5:49:11
are jalapenos a thing there?
Jason
5:49:31
Oh yes! But I’ve only got them in a jar with vinegar.
Kara
5:49:40
that’s ok. take out a couple of those
5:49:52
put them in bowl with the other 2 cans beans, with beanwater in
Jason
5:50:00
Oh good.
Kara
5:50:06
and some cumin and a little salt
Jason
5:50:10
:-)
Kara
5:50:10

Jason
5:50:14

Kara
5:50:18
some of the vinegar mght be good, too
Jason
5:50:20
ok
Kara
5:50:27
stir that up, and put it in blender
5:50:30
make very smooth
Jason
5:50:41
Oh, really? Don’t normally do smooth. Can make an exception if you’re
sure.
5:50:52
Or is this …
Kara
5:50:59
medium smooth also ok, but you’ll get good texture from the beans in
skillet
Jason
5:51:01
… just the beans + jalapenos + seasoning?
Kara
5:51:04
yes
Jason
5:51:05
Aha. Got you.
Kara
5:51:08

Jason
5:51:09
Thanks.
Kara
5:51:16
sorry. should have said better
Jason
5:51:20
nono
Kara
5:52:02
after amooth, stir it into skillet mix, before or after adding mix to
big soup pot (i have less diasters with after, but it tastes slightly
better with before)
Jason
5:52:17
You have … you’ve made this before?
Kara
5:52:24
add one beer, some maize, and some cans of tomatos
5:52:28

Jason
5:52:32
:-)
Kara
5:52:44
i’m not very good at writng down recipes, alas :(
Jason
5:52:56
Only have canned maize, which I believe is an absolute abomination. OK
to leave maize out altogether?
Kara
5:53:13
is ok. less mexican without maize, but you are correct re:
abomination
5:53:22
maybe add less beer, in that case
5:53:26
drink half
Jason
5:53:33
I actually don’t know how it got into the kitchen. It’s practially a
canned Denial Of Service attack.
Kara
5:53:39
AHAHAHAHAHAHA
5:53:57
i put a lot of cayenne in mine, as well
5:54:02
and much chili podwer, for josh
5:54:09
but i’m not sure those are things there, either
Jason
5:54:18
Yes they are, or I wouldn’t be here.
Kara
5:54:24
and if snow is any indication, cayenne should be used carefully on
australians :$
5:54:39
tries not to kill any more houseguests
Jason
5:54:40
True, compared to you guys, but it’s an essential ingredient anyway.
Kara
5:54:47
excellent
5:54:50
that is all of recipe
Jason
5:54:53
Thank you!
Kara
6:02:09

Jason
6:02:13

Kara
6:02:14

6:02:18
i forgot to say them :(
Jason
6:02:20
Not too late.
Kara
6:02:28
excellent. lots bell peppers, pls
Jason’s version:
- fry onions
- add finely chopped celery, carrot
- add two tins of black beans
- blend an additional three tins of black beans until smooth, with a
tin or two of tomatoes and some garlic and two small hot peppers
(instead of frying the garlic and peppers), then add all this to the
pot
- add two or three vegan stock cubes, chipotle sauce, a bit of cumin,
three heaped tablespoons of paprika, and black pepper
- add more water if you like it more soup than stew
- add one or two heaped tablespoons of yeast flakes if you want a
thicker taste and don’t care about authenticity
- cook
