Representationalism
Representationalism: The idea that the world we see in conscious experience is not the real world, but a “virtual-reality” replica of that world in an internal representation. A theory that attempts to account for a conscious state’s phenomenal character in terms of its representational content
Also known as Indirect Perception, Indirect Realism or Epistemological Dualism.
